{"id":434,"date":"2025-07-16T19:18:39","date_gmt":"2025-07-16T19:18:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kingjoseph.live\/?p=434"},"modified":"2025-07-16T19:19:41","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T19:19:41","slug":"pdp-atiku-abubakar-has-resigned-from-the-pdp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kingjoseph.live\/?p=434","title":{"rendered":"PDP:  ATIKU ABUBAKAR HAS RESIGNED FROM THE PDP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" src=\"https:\/\/kingjoseph.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Atiku-700x466-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kingjoseph.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Atiku-700x466-1.jpg 700w, https:\/\/kingjoseph.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Atiku-700x466-1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The party\u2019s 2023 presidential candidate hinged his resignation on the \u201ctrajectory\u201d the party has taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former Vice President is currently a key member of the opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atiku\u2019s resignation letter was dated July 14, 2025 and addressed to the PDP Chairman of his Ward, Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He disclosed that the PDP has diverted from its founding principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter he signed reads: \u201cI am writing to formally resign my membership from the People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI would like to take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude for the opportunities I have been given by the Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cServing two full terms as Vice President of Nigeria and being a Presidential candidate twice has been one of the most significant chapters of my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHowever, I find it necessary to part ways due to the current trajectory the Party has taken, which I believe diverges from the foundational principles we stood for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is with a heavy heart that I resign, recognizing the irreconcilable differences that have emerged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI wish the Party and its leadership all the best in the future.
